NZIM will not be offering a 2009 award for the best project submitted by students who study 236 or 636 Applied Management.
The NZIM Applied Management Awards have traditionally recognised the very best of the Applied Management projects, from students who have studied the NZ Diploma in Business paper 236 Applied Management in the past year.
The last awards were held in September 2007, and accepted applications for students studying in the first half of 2007. It has been decided not to hold the awards in 2009, and NZIM will review the position for 2010.
Each year students from all over New Zealand undertake substantial applied research projects as part of their NZ Diploma in Business. The APPLIED MANAGEMENT AWARDS recognise the very best of these projects. Polytechnics nominate their best students for the award. The student project reports are evaluated by experienced managers, and the five or six finalists present their results to a panel of experts at a ceremony at NZIM National.
The national final for the NZIM Applied Management Award was held on Tuesday 11 September 2007 at the NZIM offices in Wellington.
The high standard of entry has made it difficult to judge the entries to determine the finalists, and all presented very well on the night.
We are pleased to announce that the winners are:
