The ability to define the overall Vision and Mission of the organisation and the forward long term direction.
Ethical Vales
The core values that will drive the behaviour of the organsiation in difficult situations where ethics may be challenged.
Policy
The definition of global policy for the operation of the organisation which sets appropriate boundaries for management and the rest of the organisation to operate freely within.
Monitoring and Review
The assessment of the outcomes produced by the organisation compared with the strategy, plans, and policies of the organisation and also with legislation.
Coaching and Support of the Chief Executive
The Chief Executive role can be a lonely one and the role here is to be able to support the CE when needed and also to help them develop by giving them performance feedback and coaching.
